Job Title: Travel Mental Health Therapy Aide - Day Shift
Job Location: Syracuse NY
Type: Contract
Pay Rate: Up to $25/hour (Negotiable based on experience)
Duration: 19 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift 12 hours Every other weekend required Some holidays required
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Travel Mental Health Therapy Aide for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect care in a psychiatric inpatient setting
- Assist with patient admissions vital signs and basic assessments
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and hygiene needs
- Monitor and document intake output and patient behavior
- Assist with physical exams and specimen collection
- Maintain patient safety through routine observation and safety checks
- Support crisis intervention under clinical supervision
- Develop therapeutic relationships with patients
- Document care accurately in EMR systems
- Communicate effectively with clinical teams and families
- Support overall unit operations and patient care coordination
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required (2 preferred)
- Psychiatric experience required
- Pediatric psychiatric experience preferred
- Active BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with EMR systems required
- Ability to work independently in acute care setting
