Director of Nursing

Exciting opportunity for Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our 71-bed Mertome Aged Care Home
located in Bayswater. This is a Fixed Term Maternity Leave Cover contract starting in mid-June and endingJune 30th 2027.

About the role
As a DON youll ensure the aged care facility is fully occupied and meeting accreditation standards cultivating a stable and positive workplace culture for our diverse staff. Your advanced clinical and leadership experience will be vital to ensuring we provide safe effective and high-quality care to our aged-care residents including oversight of the retirement village. Your well-honed communication assessment and problem-solving skills are easily demonstrated when managing an aged care facility leading inter-disciplinary teams implementing Quality Management and Continuous Improvement programs as well as providing relationship-centred care that ensures the dignity and respect of all residents.

What youll bring

• Tertiary qualification (Bachelor or higher) in Nursing and AHPRA registration
• Management experience in a Residential Aged Care facility
• Strong communication skills with an ability to provide instruction to nurses and build strong
  relationships with residents and their families
• Working knowledge of the strengthened quality standards (Aged Care Act 2024) ideally in a
  management capacity
• Understanding of AN-ACC funding model
