Security Architect (Senior)
Ghent & Brussels Belgium

Overview
We are looking for a Senior Security Architect to lead and support the design of secure scalable ICT architectures within a complex enterprise-level environment. You will play a key role in aligning security strategies with business objectives ensuring robust protection while enabling efficient digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-level security architectures
- Provide strategic guidance on security best practices and risk management
- Translate business needs into secure cost-effective solutions
- Collaborate with enterprise architects stakeholders and project teams
- Ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks (e.g. ISO27001)
- Contribute to architectural decision-making and long-term ICT strategy
- Support risk assessments and mitigation planning
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Security Architect
- At least 7 years experience in IT security (Senior level)
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect specializing in security
- Strong architectural and conceptual design skills
- Certifications: CISM and ITIL (mandatory)
- Experience with ISO27001 (minimum 3 years)
- Strong understanding of business solutioning and risk-based security approaches
- Dutch language proficiency at C2 level (mandatory)
Nice to Have
- Experience within government or public sector environments
- Strong background in risk management
- Proficiency with MS Office tools
Additional Details
- Full-time role (100%)
- Hybrid working model (remote work possible)
- Contract until July 2027
