Product Technologist Footwear & Accessories, Menswear

The Role

We are seeking a meticulous Garment Technologist to join a leading premium fashion brand specifically focusing on Menswear Footwear and Accessories. Reporting to the Senior Technologist you will bridge the gap between creative vision and technical execution. Youll collaborate with Design Buying and Merchandising teams to ensure every piece meets exacting standards for fit durability and performance from initial concept through to final production.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Development: Lead the technical journey for footwear accessories and outlet categories ensuring product integrity at every stage.
• Fit & Construction: Facilitate fit sessions with internal stakeholders providing expert guidance on construction and quality.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed tech packs including measurement specs fit comments and supplier instructions.
• Material Excellence: Evaluate leathers trims and technical innovations to ensure they meet both luxury standards and regulatory requirements.
• Critical Path Management: Monitor development timelines closely coordinating with global suppliers to ensure samples and production stay on schedule.
• Quality Assurance: Manage QC processes approve test reports and work directly with suppliers to resolve any manufacturing or performance issues.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience: Proven background in footwear and accessories technology ideally within a premium or luxury fashion environment.
• Technical Savvy: Deep understanding of leather qualities material performance and complex product construction.
• Communication: A confident collaborator able to negotiate technical solutions with both designers and external manufacturers.
• Organization: Highly structured with the ability to manage multiple styles simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Proactive Mindset: A natural problem-solver who anticipates production risks and implements corrective actions early.
