Job Title: Solar Electrician (Subcontract or Permanent)
Location: York (site-based with travel to surrounding areas)
Salary: Competitive DOE (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday Friday (standard hours with optional overtime)

A growing renewable energy business delivering high-quality solar PV installations across domestic and commercial projects. With a strong pipeline of work in the York region they are looking to bring in an experienced Solar Electrician to support ongoing installations and future growth.

The Role

We are looking for a qualified Solar Electrician to join the team on either a subcontract or permanent basis. You will play a key role in delivering solar PV installations ensuring all electrical work is completed safely efficiently and in line with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation wiring and commissioning of solar PV systems
• Carrying out electrical testing inspection and certification
• Working on both domestic and commercial installations
• Fault finding maintenance and system upgrades
• Ensuring compliance with BS7671 and all relevant regulations
• Collaborating with roofers and installation teams on-site

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition (BS7671)
• 2391 Inspection & Testing (preferred)
• Solar PV experience (essential)
• ECS/JIB Gold Card (desirable)
• Full UK Driving Licence
