Our Downer Greenspaces team have a reputation built through having great people access to first class plant and equipment along with leading edge technology that allow us to deliver outdoor spaces across our communities to the highest standards throughout New Zealand. We are a team of skilled horticulturists sports turf and landscape specialists and certified arborists who maintain and enhance outdoor spaces across our communities. From parks reserves playgrounds cemeteries and sports fields our open spaces teams keep environments safe clean and beautiful.

In anticipation of projected business growth expected to begin in November 2026 our South Wairarapa team covering Featherson Greytown and Martinborough district areas is now inviting expression of interest for the following roles:

• Qualified Sexton
• Playground inspectors
• Maintenance Operators:

  • Mowing

  • Trees

  • Gardening

  • Playgrounds

  • Structures

  • Cemeteries

  • Turf
    

We are looking for driven professionals who bring energy attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in their work. If you excel at providing customer-focused service and are passionate about making a meaningful impact to our Greenspace team we want to hear from you.

Nga pūkenga matua Important Skills

• Experience in the Greenspace sector is an advantage

• Level 3 or above Sexton qualification or relevant experience is an advantage

• Level 2 or above Playgrounds RoSPA qualification or relevant experience is an advantage

• Full level 1 Drivers Licence HT an advantage

• Positive can-do attitude is essential

• Experience with working with a variety of equipment and power tools

• A focus and passion for keeping people and the environment safe

• Must be self-motivated energetic proactive and results-orientated with an ability to problem solve plan listen and make decisions
