Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Develop integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish overall system design

• Design maintain and modify structural and payload components using 3D CAD tools (e.g. CATIA Siemens NX SolidWorks)

• Generate and release detailed product definitions for engineering manufacturing suppliers and customers across the product lifecycle

• Lead performance analysis integration activities and testing to validate and verify systems meet requirements and specifications

• Conduct and support structural analysis (stress fatigue vibration thermal etc.) as required

• Manage supplier activities including design development testing and production support

• Collaborate with suppliers to optimize designs and ensure alignment with program cost schedule and performance goals

• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for design or test-related issues

• Assist in evaluating emerging technologies and materials for future product development

• Participate in and lead design reviews (PDR CDR) and technical evaluations

• Ensure compliance with industry standards safety regulations and quality requirements

• Work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced engineering environment

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance required (not required to start)

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or related field

• Experience in structural and/or payload design engineering

• Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling and drawing release processes

• Knowledge of structural analysis principles (stress fatigue materials etc.)

• Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings GD&T and configuration control

• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering manufacturing and suppliers

• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills

• Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.
