Job Summary

Role: Sr. Service Now Developer

Key Required Skills:
Expertise in configuring and administering ServiceNow SAM Pro to manage software assets licenses and compliance.
Strong understanding of the integration between ServiceNow and other tools like SCCM discovery tools and enterprise systems for asset tracking and management.
Solid understanding of software licensing models (e.g. user-based device-based subscription-based core/processor-based cloud application subscription)
Experience with ServiceNow reporting and dashboard creation including building custom reports and queries using ServiceNows reporting tools.
Experience in working with major software publishers such as Microsoft Adobe and VMware.

Position Description:
The ServiceNow SAM Developer is responsible for designing implementing and integrating with other enterprise services. This position is ideal for an individual with a solid background and expertise in ServiceNows SAM Pro module who will drive the implementation and management of ServiceNow Pro for tracking software assets ensuring license compliance optimizing usage and delivering actionable insights for cost efficiency. This position develops automation workflows ensures scalable configurations and creates dashboards and APIs to support compliance and reconciliation across ServiceNow SAM.
Partner closely with internal teams program leadership and external vendors to support ITAM and SAM Pro implementation efforts and ensure alignment with best practices.
Define document and continuously improve asset lifecycle processes workflows and data standards across hardware software and service assets.
Advise the team on SAM Pro Plus best practices leveraging AI-driven insights for compliance and optimization
Configure and automate ServiceNow SAM modules for asset lifecycle tracking and optimization reporting
Configure and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and Integration Hub (e.g. pulling data from SCCM JAMF or SaaS tools)
Design implement and refine the SAM Pro module to align with business objectives and ensure accurate asset tracking license management and compliance.
Develop workflows for reconciliation entitlement tracking and compliance reporting using SAM Pro capabilities
Ensure proper data flows between SAM Pro and procurement systems to facilitate seamless license management from purchase to deployment and retirement.
Lead module development integrations and enhancements across the ServiceNow suite.
Lead the configuration administration and optimization of ServiceNow SAM Pro to track manage and report on software assets across the organization.
Manage integration between ServiceNow SAM Pro and other IT asset management tools discovery tools and enterprise systems (e.g. SCCM discovery tools cloud environments).
Monitor software license consumption optimize license usage and identify potential savings opportunities through accurate usage tracking.
Oversee data reconciliation between ServiceNow SAM Pro and actual software usage ensuring that software inventories are up-to-date and accurate.
Support software audits (internal and vendor-driven) by providing data from ServiceNow SAM Pro ensuring readiness for compliance reviews and audits.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow SAM Pro configurations integrations and workflows.

Skills Requirements:
Foundation for Success (Basic Qualifications)
Knowledge and experience in developing workflows for reconciliation entitlement tracking and compliance reporting using SAM Pro capabilities
Knowledge and experience designing implementing and governing CMDB structures and data relationships.
Hands-on experience configuring ServiceNow ITAM modules including workflows data models and platform capabilities.
Knowledge and experience with software license management tools and processes
Knowledge and experience in data quality practices (i.e. data normalization reconciliation and reporting).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address software asset management issues.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently prioritize tasks and managing multiple projects.
