Client is searching for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead building system design of HVAC Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. This is a leadership position to establish the mechanical team for a growing healthcare focused MEP firm with a quick path to equity.
Responsibilities
Establish an HVAC Plumbing & Fire Protection team.
Manage and mentor junior engineers.
Develop technical deliverables; including construction plans & specifications.
Coordinate with clients on project requirements and status updates.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies to understand local permitting requirements and submit permit documents for review and approval.
Perform construction administration duties; including attending and documenting project meetings conducting site visits reviewing shop drawings and assisting with the development of change order closeout and other construction documentation.
Perform onsite construction observation and inspection.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
8 years of related experience
P.E. License
Revit experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills with both internal employees and external clients.
Self-motivated
