Position Summary: A hospital-based outpatient clinic servicing a large area of western Alaska primarily consisting of Alaskan Native Americans. Provides full-time physical therapy services to a diverse population of clients from pediatric to geriatric across a wide spectrum of diagnoses and therapy needs that includes but is not limited to orthopedics neurology vestibular and wound care. Position includes village travel inpatient and outpatient care home care and community outreach. Therapist adheres to Physical Therapy standards of care and practice along with JCAHO OSHA and Corporate Policies. Therapist applies age specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care. Position Qualifications: Must have Master s degree from an Accredited program in Physical Therapy Graduate from Accredited Physical Therapy program. Hospital-based experience helpful In addition must be licensed in good standing in Alaska as a Physical Therapist. CPR certification Hospital based: Standard Physical Therapy Department environment includes hi-lo table whirlpool therapeutic exercise equipment ultrasound and electric stimulation modalities etc. Office equipment (i.e. computer telephone fax machine copy machine) Hospital based: Standard Physical Therapy Department environment includes hi-lo table whirlpool therapeutic exercise equipment ultrasound and electric stimulation modalities etc. Village-based: Usually a treatment table is provided.
