Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and repairing production equipment machinery and facility systems in a manufacturing plant. This role ensures equipment reliability minimizes downtime and supports safe efficient plant operations in compliance with company standards and OSHA regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform daily inspections preventive maintenance and repairs on production machinery and facility equipment.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic issues.

Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimize production delays.

Conduct routine inspections of plant infrastructure utilities and safety systems (HVAC plumbing electrical fire extinguishers alarms etc.).

Follow and maintain preventive maintenance schedules; document work in CMMS or other tracking systems.

Support installation calibration and upgrades of machinery and equipment.

Maintain tools equipment and work areas in a safe and organized condition.

Adhere to OSHA and company safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO).

Assist in inventory control of spare parts and request replenishments when necessary.

Collaborate with production teams to support efficiency improvements and process reliability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance mechanics or a related field preferred.

25 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.

Skilled in using hand tools power tools welding and diagnostic equipment.

Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

Ability to stand walk bend kneel or crouch for extended periods.

Frequent lifting carrying pushing and pulling of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights using lifts ladders or scaffolding.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise dust heat moving machinery and occasional chemicals.

Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses gloves hard hats steel-toed boots and hearing protection.

Work schedule may include overtime weekends or on-call shifts depending on production needs.

Collaborative setting with production safety and engineering teams.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand walk use hands and fingers handle or feel as well as reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision depth perception the ability to see and differentiate color and to focus.
