Job Summary
Practice
Independence Animal Hospital is proud to serve the Independence KS area for everything pet-related.
Our practice is a full-service mixed-animal hospital and will see routine appointments surgical cases as well as offer acupuncture services. Our in-house capabilities include digital x-ray digital dental x-ray ultrasound cold laser indoor stocks outdoor pen area hydraulic tilt chute and an OB chute.
Our doctors are supported by our experienced credentialed technicians assistants and practice manager.
Position Purpose

Heartland Veterinary Partners Externship Program works to provide 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them practice ready by their first day in practice.
Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
Requirements/Qualifications
Eligibility
Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
Must be able to provide student PLIT
