As an Associate Director you will play a key leadership roleinengagements; leading project teams guiding them through ambiguity and ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients. You will also act as a mentor supporting the development of junior team members through coaching on-the-job training and performance feedback.

In addition you will build strong client relationships contribute to business development and support the continued growth of our Finance and Operations practice. Based inTāmakiMakaurau / Auckland this role primarily supports public sector clients with opportunities to work across the private sector.

This is a permanent full-time position Monday to Friday with aminimum of 37.5 hours per week.

  • Lead and deliver finance transformation engagements with a focus on thecommercial side of finance
  • Support the design and implementation offinance operating models including process simplification efficiency improvements and adoption of emerging capabilities (e.g. AI in finance).
  • ProvideCFO advisory services helping clients improve financial performance decision-making and strategic alignment.
  • Apply strongenterprise performance management (EPM)and financial planningexpertiseto drive better forecasting budgeting and reporting outcomes.
  • Act as atrusted business partnerdemonstratinga deep understanding of commercial drivers and how organisations create value.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members providing guidance structure and support across engagements.
  • Build andmaintainstrong client relationships engaging confidently with stakeholders at all levels including senior leadership.
  • Contribute tobusiness development activities including presentations proposals and supporting growth of the practice.
  • Play an active role inidentifyingand convertingnew business opportunities including participation in competitive tenders.

  • 7 years experience in afinance-related role ideally combining industry and consulting/professional services experience.
  • Background incommercial finance or accounting(e.g. FP&A reporting analysis)
  • Experience inprofessional services (e.g. audit or consulting) with exposure to advisory and project-based work.
  • Proven experienceleading and delivering projects or engagementsin a client-facing environment.
  • Strongleadership and coaching capability with the ability to develop junior team members.
  • Excellentcommunication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives and Boards.
  • Commercially minded with strongbusiness acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • High levelsofdrive charisma and relationship-building ability with a desire to grow progress and contribute to practice development.
