Responsible for coordinating activities which promote excellence in nursing. This includes evaluation analysis and process improvement within the nursing department as well as assuring compliance with regulation and accreditation process. This role supports nursing by serving as a resource to coordinate policy/procedure review and revisions as needed. Provide oversight of policy management software; provide support and assistance for hospitals and departments in the Oklahoma Community who utilize this software. Assist with nursing projects as directed by the CNO. Maintain and promote the clinical ladder program to enhance the engagement and development of our clinical co-workers. Participates on and understands electronic health records and informatics practice for nursing. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission values and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or actively enrolled in an accredited program. Enrollment in MSN program or related healthcare program within 3 years of hire.
Licensure: RN with current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years clinical hospital experience.
Certification/Registration: None.
Other: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Education: MSN DNP PhD (or comparable) in nursing related field.
Preferred Licensure: None.
Preferred Experience: None.
Preferred Certification/Registration: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) Certified Informatics Nurse.
Preferred Other: Demonstrates skills in leadership and human relations and organization. Ability to collaborate and facilitate within groups and between departments. Proficient in computer/software programs such as Word Excel EPIC Publisher PowerPoint etc.
