Job Summary
Purpose of the Job
Honeywell Industrial Safety (Poole) is a key manufacturing service and distribution hub for EMEA and is the headquarters for the business units global multisite ISO 9001 Certification with turnover circa $340M. The Goods In Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all incoming and outgoing products meet site quality standards specifications and regulatory requirements. The role involves conducting inspections identifying defects and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Principal Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming goods for quality and compliance with specifications. Conduct routine checks and quality audits on products and materials. Maintain accurate records of inspections and compliance data
- Document inspection results and prepare reports on findings. Identify and report defects discrepancies or safety issues
- Collaborate with suppliers and production teams to resolve quality issues. Monitor supplier performance and engage when issues arise. Support supplier transitions when required.
- Maintain Calibration database and manage department items requiring calibration.
- Play an active role in the quality team to maintain the effective running and maintenance of the sites quality management system to ensure compliance to regulatory body requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in quality control preferred.
- Proven experience in quality inspection or a related field.
- Familiarity with quality standards and safety regulations (e.g. ISO).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient with inspection tools and software.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions based on findings.
