High School Special Education Instructor

Nodaway Valley Community School District is seeking a dynamic student-centered educator to join our team for the school year. We are currently accepting applications for a High School Special EducationInstructor (Grades 912) at Nodaway Valley High School.

The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and committed to fostering a supportive structured and engaging learning environment. This position will primarily serve Strat I students with some Strat II support focusing on helping students build academic skills independence and confidence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in differentiation behavior support and individualized instruction while promoting student growth in both academic and functional areas.

The candidate will collaborate closely with general education teachers support staff and families to implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and ensure student success across settings. A strong commitment to building positive relationships and contributing to a supportive school community is essential.

This position requires a valid Iowa Teaching License with the appropriate endorsement in special education for the secondary level (grades 912).
