Senior Analytics Engineer Reporting Services

You will join the Reporting Services team which empowers Robecos Operation and Investment teams by delivering high-end strategic client-centric digital and data-driven reporting solutions for both internal and external clients.

Reporting Services is part of the Sales Marketing and Reporting Value Stream which is responsible for all Sales Marketing Client Services applications and (ESG) Reporting. Our ambition is to continuously strengthen and expand our capabilities across these domains ensuring we remain a trusted and reliable partner in delivering high-value solutions to the business.

Position & Requirements

We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer who combines strong hands-on engineering expertise with technical leadership and solution architecture this role you will contribute to two scrum teams:

1. Client Insight Reporting facilitating the creation of scalable and automated reports whilst retaining quality and flexibility to meet the clients needs using systems such as Vermilion and Seismic.

2. Business Insight Center supporting data-driven decision making within Robeco by delivering accessible reliable & actionable insights through data analytics using Qlik.

This position is key to strengthening our cloud-based data platform setting the technical direction and elevating the teams capabilitieswhile delivering robust future-proof reporting and analytics solutions.

You will collaborate closely with engineers product owners and stakeholders as a technical sparring partner ensuring that solutions align with enterprise standards and Robecos long-term strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain scalable data solutions using technologies such as Azure Snowflake/DBT MuleSoft and Airflow
• Optimize and enhance existing reporting processes and resolve complex technical issues
• Take ownership of solution architecture within the Reporting Services domain
• Provide technical leadership and guidance across the two Reporting Services teams and acting as the linking pin with the enterprise architects
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into robust scalable technical designs
• Coach and mentor team members on the modern data and integration stack
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture
• Identify manage and reduce technical risks and technical debt
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning stand-ups refinements retrospectives)
• Take part in valuestream wide architectural decision making in Domain Architecture Board
• Work at least three days per week from our Rotterdam office

Candidate profile

• At least 8 years of experience in data engineering
• Experience owning endtoend solutions in complex regulated environments
• Comfortable influencing architectural decisions at team and valuestream level
• Extensive knowledge of Azure data services and Snowflake/DBT experience with MuleSoft is a plus
• Proven experience with data pipelines data modeling and cloud-native architectures
• Strong communication skills capable of clearly explaining complex technical topics
• Experience in coaching and mentoring colleagues
• Proactive quality-driven and comfortable taking ownership
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
