SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID UNIT

Assistant Student Development Manager ()

The Scholarships and Financial Aid Unit is mainly responsible for the administration and allocation of scholarships and financial assistance schemes for UGC-funded students in the Unit now invites applications for the position below:

Responsibilities:

  • Administer various scholarship schemes including promotion of scholarship opportunities management of applications and enquiries and coordination of the renewal exercise award selection and nomination;
  • Collaborate and liaise with stakeholders including internal departments donors government offices and students;
  • Provide secretarial support for scholarship selection panels and/or the Undergraduate Scholarship Committee including drafting of meeting papers and minutes and undertake follow-up actions;
  • Prepare reports/letters to donors and coordinate events related to donors appreciation and student coaching; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A bachelors degree with at least five years of relevant work experience. Previous work experience in tertiary institutions or relevant fields would be an advantage;
  • Good interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail;
  • A high level of self-motivation and the ability to multitask and work effectively both as a team player and independently to meet tight schedules; and
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua).

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

The initial appointment will be made on a twoyear fixedterm contract. Reappointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and satisfactory performance.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
