Project Manager (Capital Projects)

Job Summary
Key responsibilities
- Ensure the successful execution of sales orders using project management skills in a capital equipment industry.
- Maintaining customer relationships communication and satisfaction are key aspects of this role in addition to negotiating conflicts with the customer during project execution.
- Responsible for issuing change orders both internal and customer driven to maintain clarity of customer requirements scope of work and schedule milestones.
- Assess risks and project finances throughout the execution of a project within a stage gate structure.
Qualifications :
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in delivering capital equipment in a manufacturing environment with integrated mechanical & electrical controls systems.
- Bachelors degree in engineering or other related technology.
- 3 years experience in project management in manufactured equipment or capital equipment.
- 3 years experience in engineering & manufacturing environments managing multiple projects.
- 3 years experience as liaison with customers and managing expectations to a contract.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- The ideal experience would be with horizontal form fill and seal (HFFS) automated packaging equipment and processes and/or Engineer-to-Order capital equipment.
- Proficiency with project management practices using the stage gate approach and knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams composed of shared resources.
Physical Requirements
- Normal Office Environment with minimal domestic and international travel to other Syntegon Packaging sites suppliers and/or customers.
