Project Manager (Capital Projects)

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the successful execution of sales orders using project management skills in a capital equipment industry.
• Maintaining customer relationships communication and satisfaction are key aspects of this role in addition to negotiating conflicts with the customer during project execution.
• Responsible for issuing change orders both internal and customer driven to maintain clarity of customer requirements scope of work and schedule milestones.
• Assess risks and project finances throughout the execution of a project within a stage gate structure.  

Qualifications :

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in delivering capital equipment in a manufacturing environment with integrated mechanical & electrical controls systems. 
• Bachelors degree in engineering or other related technology.
• 3 years experience in project management in manufactured equipment or capital equipment.
• 3 years experience in engineering & manufacturing environments managing multiple projects.
• 3 years experience as liaison with customers and managing expectations to a contract.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• The ideal experience would be with horizontal form fill and seal (HFFS) automated packaging equipment and processes and/or Engineer-to-Order capital equipment.
• Proficiency with project management practices using the stage gate approach and knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams composed of shared resources.

Physical Requirements

• Normal Office Environment with minimal domestic and international travel to other Syntegon Packaging sites suppliers and/or customers.
