Safety Expert
Job Summary
An Automotive Functional Safety Expert leads ISO 26262 compliance developing safety concepts (HARA FSR TSR) conducting FTA/FMEA analyses and managing safety cases for electronic systems.
They interface with customers/OEMs to define safety requirements perform audits and guide engineering teams ensuring systems fail safely.
Key Responsibilities
- ISO 26262 Compliance: Lead the full functional safety lifecycle including hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA) functional safety concepts (FSC) and technical safety concepts (TSC).
- Safety Analysis: Perform and review safety analyses such as Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA/DFMEA/FMEDA) to ensure system reliability.
- Safety Documentation & Case: Create and maintain safety plans Safety Case reports and Development Interface Agreements (DIAs) with suppliers.
- Verification & Validation: Execute or support safety assessments audits and validation tests to ensure safety requirements are met.
- Technical Leadership: Guide software and hardware teams on implementing safety mechanisms diagnostic coverage and architectural requirements
