Job Summary
Were seeking a capable and motivated Site Engineer to join our Auckland-based team. This is a hands-on role where youll play a critical part in delivering construction projects safely on time on budget and to specification.

Te kōwhiringa The Opportunity
As Site Engineer youll provide on-site monitoring and engineering support across construction activities ensuring quality standards health & safety environmental compliance and commercial controls are met. Youll work closely with the Project Manager supervisors subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery from planning through to completion.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning & Delivery
- Assist with project methodologies programmes and budgets
- Understand scope specifications and construction requirements
- Monitor productivity and identify potential variations early
Quality Management
- Complete quality inspections and maintain records for handover
- Develop monitor and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Liaise with engineers for inspections and approvals
- Manage NCRs and OFIs and report to the Project Manager
Health Safety & Environmental
- Support and promote a strong Zero Harm culture
- Participate in Crew Briefing Plans and hazard identification
- Complete site inspections TMP audits safety observations and incident reports
- Lead by example step in if something doesnt look right
Commercial & Financial Control
- Order materials and track deliveries using delivery dockets
- Match delivery dockets against invoices
- Track costs and productivity against revenue
- Assist with end-of-month quantity reporting and claims
- Identify and track variations and day works
People & Client Management
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Communicate clearly with crews and assist with upskilling on quality requirements
- Help manage allocation of people and plant on site
Records & Reporting
- Ensure daily site diaries are completed and maintained
- Maintain accurate project documentation and contract records
Nga pūkenga matua Important Skills
A tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering
Practical construction or civil infrastructure experience
Strong understanding of quality safety and site controls
Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
The ability to work collaboratively with crews subcontractors and clients
Confidence working on site and managing competing priorities
