Job Summary
Practice
We are AAHA accredited meaning our practice coincides with the highest standards of veterinary medicine. Our hospital is spacious well maintained and always equipped to provide patients with the best wellness diagnostic and surgical care. Everyday we utilize equipment such as:
- Digital radiology
- Ultrasound
- Full in-house laboratory
- Surgical suite with laser equipment anesthesia system and heating system
- Dental suite
- Tonopen and Digital Retinal Imaging
- Endoscopy and Rhinoscopy

Heartland Veterinary Partners Externship Program works to provide veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them practice ready by their first day in practice.
Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
Requirements/Qualifications
Eligibility
Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
Must be able to provide student PLIT
