The Senior Structural Engineer 2 position requires extensive experience in heavy industrial or power plant environments or a combination of advanced education and professional licensure. The role involves providing structural engineering services conducting designs and calculations performing site walk downs developing cost estimates and producing structural steel design documents.

Responsibilities:
- Providing structural engineering services and field support.
- Conducting preparation of designs and calculations.
- Conducting site walk downs of construction sites.
- Developing cost estimates and material takeoffs.
- Providing schedule and staffing input for projects.
- Producing and checking structural steel design calculations and drawings.
- Providing structural engineering services and field support.
- Conducting preparation of designs and calculations.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Detailed knowledge of structural steel and concrete design principles and industry methodologies.
- Significant structural steel connection design experience.
- Proficiency with structural codes and standards.
- Extensive knowledge of heavy industrial structures and components.
- Proficiency with structural computer programs such as STAAD PRO.
- Proficiency with OSHA regulations.
- Able to coordinate and manage multiple large scale multi-discipline projects.
- Able to perform structural inspections and provide written reports.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff design engineering staff and/or vendors.
- 20 years heavy industrial/power plant experience OR accredited bachelors & masters degree in engineering and professional engineering license.
