Automated QA Engineer

Required Candidate Location: Onsite/Mclean VA 5 Days a Week - NO RELOCATION

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior QA Testing & Automation Consultant to support a major modernization program. This role sits within the UAT team and focuses on ensuring high-quality delivery across User Acceptance Testing requirements validation change management and cutover activities. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to validate solutions and enhance testing automation practices.

What Youll Do

• Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities across the modernization program lifecycle
• Design develop and execute automated and manual test cases aligned to business requirements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure traceability to test scenarios
• Manage and assess change requests ensuring appropriate testing coverage and impact analysis
• Support cutover planning and execution ensuring readiness for production deployment

What Were Looking For

• Proven experience in UAT QA testing and test automation within complex programs
• Strong understanding of business analysis requirements gathering and validation processes
• Experience working in financial services ideally within banking or payments environments
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g. Selenium Cypress or similar frameworks)
• Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to work across business and technology teams

Bonus Points For

• Experience supporting large-scale modernization or transformation programs
• Knowledge of test management tools (e.g. JIRA ALM TestRail)
• Exposure to Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
• Experience with data validation and integration testing
• Understanding of release management and cutover strategies
