Job Summary

Job Title: Registered Nurse Inpatient GI Services (Endoscopy)

Job Type: Contract
Shift: 10-hour variable shifts (Day and PM)

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Gastrointestinal (GI) or Endoscopy services to support inpatient GI procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise adaptability to variable shifts and proficiency in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing GI and endoscopy procedures
Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures
Monitor patients pre- intra- and post-procedure
Ensure patient safety comfort and infection control standards are maintained
Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Float to Med/Surg and Critical Care units as needed

Required Qualifications

Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of 1 year of GI or Endoscopy nursing experience
Current BLS and ACLS certification
Proficiency in EPIC EMR
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work variable shifts including day and PM hours
Must be willing to float as required

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Gastrointestinal Registered Nurse (CGRN) certification preferred
