Job Summary
Practice
Even before opening the doors of the Animal Medical Center of Troy MO in the spring of 2000 our goal was to practice the best possible veterinary medicine while fostering a friendly environment with a highly knowledgeable staff.
Today we have more than achieved that goal. What began as a small practice with one veterinarian and only a few exam rooms has now been transformed into an 8600 square foot facility with two full-time doctors offering everything from routine wellness care to state-of-the-art diagnostics surgery cancer care and even laser therapy.

Heartland Veterinary Partners Externship Program works to provide veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them practice ready by their first day in practice.
Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
Requirements/Qualifications
Eligibility
Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
Must be able to provide student PLIT
