We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience welding various types of piping systems and must successfully pass a 6G weld certification test. This role requires precision safety awareness and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

• Perform welding on commercial piping systems
• Read and interpret blueprints isometric drawings and welding symbols
• Execute high-quality welds using processes such as SMAW (stick) GTAW (TIG) and/or MIG as required
• Prepare materials by cutting grinding and fitting pipes to specifications
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working condition
• Follow all safety regulations and job site protocols
• Collaborate with supervisors pipefitters and other trades to complete projects efficiently

Required Education and Experience

• Must pass a 6G pipe welding certification test (required)
• 2 years of experience as a pipe welder in commercial or industrial construction
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques materials and equipment
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g. ASME AWS)
• Ability to work at heights in confined spaces and in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Preferred Education and Experience

• Current welding certifications (AWS ASME or equivalent)
• OSHA safety training (e.g. OSHA 10 or 30)
• Preferred 5 years of experience as a pipe welder in commercial or industrial construction

Travel Requirements

• May require overtime weekends and travel depending on project needs

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

• Remaining in a stationary position often standing or sitting for prolonged periods

Environmental Conditions

• Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind

Physical Demands

• Medium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds
