Elementary School Teacher

Saint Rose of Lima Catholic School in Nashville serving over 400 students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade seeks an experienced innovative and passionate elementary grade teacher who is willing to work hard to bring learning to life and collaborate with a highly qualified professional learning community in a supportive school environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design a curriculum in line with the Diocese of Nashville Curriculum Guide vertically aligned with elementary grades and plan lessons that are engaging deepen understanding and critical thinking and are integrated with technology.
• Deliver a Catholic education and formation for students either directly through religion class teaching other subjects from a Catholic Worldview or enriching students faith life through experiences of sacraments Scripture and retreats. The ideal candidate would form classroom management techniques around the promotion and formation Christian virtue in the child.
• Work collaboratively with the team of teachers and partners with parents to communicate student successes and areas of growth.

About the Employer

Located in Murfreesboro Tennessee Saint Rose is the only Catholic school in Rutherford County for students two years of age through 8th grade. REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education.
2. Valid TN Teaching License with Elementary Education endorsement.
3. Experience with differentiated instruction.
4. Strong Classroom Management Skills.
5. Strong communication collaboration and organizational skills.
6. Technology skills and ability to integrate technology into instructional experiences.
7. An understanding of the Catholic Faith and the ability to witness to it personally and professionally.
