Special Education Teacher - ESY
Position Overview:
The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the Extended School Year (ESY) program to support students in the Autistic Support Classroom at Seneca High School. This contracted position is responsible for delivering Special Education services to schoolaged students in a classroom setting.
Location: Seneca High School
Contracted Hourly Rate: $46.56
Position hours: 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Tuesday Wednesday Thursday

Required Qualifications:
- Certification in Special Education (equivalent of pre-K-12 Required)
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification in regular education
- Prior experience working with EI students
- Experience utilizing Positive Behavior Supports
- Knowledge of various disability categories (i.e. Developmental Delays Autism Spectrum Disorder Speech and Language)
Essential Functions:
- Developing lessons and teaching children in classrooms
- Conducting evaluations to determine eligibility for services
- Writing Evaluation Reports and Individualized Education Plans for students
- Providing services as determined through the IEP process
- Inputting data utilizing the PELICAN system
