Professional Civil Engineer

Provide technical delivery and project support in this Professional Civil Engineer role contributing to the successful design and delivery of multidisciplinary transportation projects across New Zealand. You will apply your civil engineering expertise across design project delivery and construction support while working closely with project managers multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Based in Auckland this role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of transport infrastructure projects while developing your technical capability project management skills and client relationships. You will play an active role in delivering high-quality engineering outcomes supporting business growth and strengthening AECOMs Transport presence in New Zealand.

Youll gain exposure to complex and high-profile transport projects across road rail and urban infrastructure working alongside leading specialists and contributing to projects that create lasting impact for communities.

• Contribute to the design and delivery of multidisciplinary transportation projects ensuring outputs meet quality time safety and budget expectations
• Support project management activities including coordination planning resource management and delivery tracking across multiple projects
• Build and maintain effective client and stakeholder relationships contributing to business development and repeat work opportunities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated high-quality engineering solutions across a range of transport sectors
• Assist with proposals technical reports and project documentation to support project delivery and future opportunities
• Provide mentoring and knowledge sharing to junior team members supporting team capability and professional development

Qualifications :

• A relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar
• 2 years experience in civil engineering ideally within transport infrastructure projects
• Experience in civil design and delivery across multidisciplinary engineering projects
• Strong oral and written communication skills including report writing and proposal development
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities timelines and deliver quality outcomes within project teams
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of project delivery within a consulting environment
• Competency in project management tools and the Microsoft Office suite
• Understanding of the consulting services market and transport sector environment
