This position is a senior finance leader having direct oversight of the Companys accounting planning and risk functions. This position oversees the development of financial risk and capital models and implements strategies to protect capital while driving performance in alignment with plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for and oversees accurate financial reporting
Accountable for and oversees financial regulatory compliance
Accountable for and oversees internal control environments
Coordinate annual audit and tax activities
Accountable for annual financial planning process
If no Controller position- lead and develop finance team
If no Controller position- develop and own finance relationships
Accountable for financial and capital modeling
Contributes strategy concepts to protect capital
Contributes in designing investment strategies
Involved in Board of Director meeting preparations
Involved in ERM activities and supporting reinsurance placements
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree (B.A. / B.S) or higher in Accounting
CPA designation required
CPCU designation preferred
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of financial experience
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of leadership experience
Industry experience preferred
