JOB TITLE: Field Superintendent Day Shift

DEPARTMENT: Construction Operations

REPORTS TO: Rick Plote Director Construction Ops.

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Field Superintendent Day Shift is responsible for the day-to-day oversight coordination and execution of construction activities at the Savannah River Site. This role ensures work is performed safely efficiently and in compliance with contract requirements site regulations and quality standards. The Superintendent serves as the primary field leader driving schedule performance workforce coordination and execution excellence across all assigned scopes of work.

Lead and manage daily field operations ensuring work is executed safely on schedule and in accordance with project specifications and federal site requirements
Supervise craft labor subcontractors and field personnel providing direction accountability and support to achieve project objectives
Coordinate with Project Managers Safety Quality and Engineering teams to ensure alignment on execution plans and site priorities
Enforce all safety policies procedures and regulatory requirements promoting a strong safety culture across the jobsite
Monitor project schedules identify risks or delays and implement corrective actions to maintain progress
Ensure quality control standards are met through inspections field verification and coordination with QA/QC personnel
Manage material deliveries equipment utilization and site logistics to support efficient operations
Support site documentation requirements including daily reports time tracking and compliance documentation
Interface with client representatives and site leadership to ensure clear communication and alignment on project execution
Work a standard day shift schedule aligned with site operations with flexibility to support extended hours as required by project demands
Perform additional duties as required to support project success and operational needs

High school diploma or equivalent required
10 years of experience in construction field supervision preferably in federal industrial or heavy civil environments
Proven experience managing field operations subcontractors and craft labor on complex construction projects

Preferred Education and Experience
Experience working at Department of Energy sites or similar secure federal facilities
Background in industrial construction infrastructure or environmental projects
Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field preferred

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Required Licenses/Certifications
Ability to obtain and maintain site access and required clearances at Savannah River Site
OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification

Preferred Licenses/Certifications
First Aid/CPR Certification
Additional safety or construction certifications relevant to federal or industrial work

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct supervision of field personnel subcontractors and craft labor on assigned projects
