Job Summary

The McFarland Center for Religion Ethics and Culture at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for appointment as an International Visiting Jesuit Fellow for the 2026-2027 academic year to begin in August 2026. The Center welcomes applications from Jesuits from provinces outside the United States who are qualified to teach in any of the academic programs sponsored by the College. All appointments are made in collaboration with the academic department that matches the expertise of the applicant and would serve as a co-host.

The International Visiting Jesuit Fellow will teach one course with an additional scholarly assignment during one semester and engage in a previously agreed upon program of scholarly research during the other semester. This position offers full benefits and a salary of $36000.

QUALIFICATIONS

The program is open to Jesuits from outside the U.S. who have the support of their provincial superior to pursue the fellowship. Candidates must demonstrate commitment to and excellence in undergraduate teaching and inclusive pedagogies as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field.
