Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team working with the Infants and Toddlers Program in St. Marys County Maryland. As a Physical Therapist you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of infants and toddlers by providing physical therapy services to support their motor development and overall well-being.
Additional Details: caseload of approximately 25 families
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the motor development and physical abilities of infants and toddlers.
Develop and implement IFSPs to address identified needs and goals.
Provide direct physical therapy services to infants and toddlers in a variety of settings including homes and community based.
Collaborate with families caregivers and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy and support.
Educate and empower families with techniques and strategies to promote motor development and improve functional abilities.
Monitor and document progress regularly adjusting therapy plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments treatment sessions and progress notes.
Stay informed about best practices and evidence-based interventions in pediatric physical therapy.
Qualifications:
Masters degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Maryland. (if applicable)
Educator Certificate (if applicable)
Experience working with infants toddlers and young children preferably in an early intervention or pediatric setting.
Strong clinical skills in pediatric physical therapy assessment intervention and documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with families caregivers and team members.
Compassion patience and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of infants and toddlers.
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
