Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team working with the Infants and Toddlers Program in St. Marys County Maryland. As a Physical Therapist you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of infants and toddlers by providing physical therapy services to support their motor development and overall well-being.

Additional Details: Early Intervention population 0-3 years of age

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the motor development and physical abilities of infants and toddlers.
  • Develop and implement IFSPs to address identified needs and goals.
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to infants and toddlers in a variety of settings including homes and community based.
  • Collaborate with families caregivers and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy and support.
  • Educate and empower families with techniques and strategies to promote motor development and improve functional abilities.
  • Monitor and document progress regularly adjusting therapy plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments treatment sessions and progress notes.
  • Stay informed about best practices and evidence-based interventions in pediatric physical therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Maryland. (if applicable)
  • Educator Certificate (if applicable)
  • Experience working with infants toddlers and young children preferably in an early intervention or pediatric setting.
  • Strong clinical skills in pediatric physical therapy assessment intervention and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with families caregivers and team members.
  • Compassion patience and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of infants and toddlers.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
