Job Summary
The Senior Consultant Advisory is responsible for conducting complex Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) activities within large and complex Government and Commercial projects. They will play a critical part in proactively striving to improve the security capabilities within client organisations delivering high quality outcomes and ensuring consultants are performing to their maximum potential while continuously developing strong stakeholder relationships with client key stakeholders across the Thales Group.
KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant you will be asked to:
- Undertake system security control assessments including vulnerability assessments security design and threat assessments risk assessments and remediation activities.
- Provide expertise in tailoring security strategies to meet specific client needs government and industry standards.
- Contribute to security documentation policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system security artefacts ensuring documentation accuracy and relevance.
- Work collaboratively with IT risk and business stakeholders.
- Learn and apply relevant frameworks (e.g. NZISM NIST CERT Critical Controls.
KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in your role you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
- Proven ability to apply the NZISM Protective Security Requirements and other government frameworks in the context of the work of New Zealand Government agencies and the AoG common process model.
- In-depth knowledge in relation to the New Zealand All-of-Government (AoG) certification and accreditation (C&A) processes
- Ability to apply best practice frameworks including CERT Critical Controls ISO27001 ISO27002 NIST Cybersecurity Framework and .
- Ability to develop and deliver training and/or speaking material for public and/or private events.
- Maintain knowledge of industry insights and proactively research emerging security risks controls applicable regulations and trends.
- Ability to develop use and improve the companys methodologies to provide effective security and risk advice.
