Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong telemetry experience the ability to manage multiple patients and be comfortable responding to rapid clinical changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to abnormalities
- Administer medications IV therapies and treatments
- Perform patient assessments and develop care plans
- Initiate and respond to rapid response/code situations
- Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems
- Adhere to infection control and isolation protocols
- Float to similar units as needed based on patient care requirements
Schedule & Work Environment
- Night shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Acute care hospital setting
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
- Active New York RN License (must be in hand at submission)
- BLS Certification (required)
- NIHSS Certification (preferred; must include if available)
- Recent acute care experience within the last 6 months
- Experience with EPIC charting
