Department Overview
The Division of Pulmonary Allergy and Critical Care Medicine (PACCM) provides expert care for patients with lung diseases in our pulmonary clinics allergic and immunologic disorders and diseases in our allergy clinics and critically ill patients in our intensive care addition to our commitment to outstanding clinical care we are proud of our extensive research programs from basic science to clinical trials. Our educational mission includes teaching on many levels including our two fellowship programs in Pulmonary Allergy and Critical Care and Critical Care Medicine. Read more about the division: of Position The advanced practice provider (APP) provides patient care in a multidisciplinary team model in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). The Medical Intensive Care Unit treats a wide range of medically critically ill patients. Care in the MICU follows evidence-based guidelines and clinical pathways developed by the multidisciplinary team. The APP faculty works in collaboration with faculty physicians fellows and residents to provide high quality clinical care and provide education and training to learners. The APP faculty works in conjunction with other faculty and OHSU leadership to promote OHSUs missions of excellence in patient care teaching research and public service in a 24/7/365 environment; as well as the strategic goals to excel in patient safety quality cost-effective and efficient care. Nocturnist position: APPs hired as nocturnists cover overnight shifts for a particular service line. The minimum differential for nocturnist positions is defined in the CBA. Weekend position: APPs hired for weekend coverage positions cover weekend shifts for a particular service line. The minimum differential for weekend positions is defined in the CBA. THE DUTIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE: Clinical: The primary duties include direct patient care including: The APP faculty is expected to work 2080 hours per year and will work a fair share of weekday night and weekend shifts. Education and Quality Improvement: This position participates in the divisions teaching activities including divisional conferences student and fellow didactics and on OHSU committees as expected and approved by the Division and Department. Specific expectations also include: Administration: There are no specific administrative responsibilities assigned at this time. Administrative and other duties may be assigned based on department needs and your areas of expertise and interest including opportunities to participate in departmental management and to serve on institutional committees.
