About the role

Were looking for a Finance Business Partner to join Fleet Planning supporting the Chartering organisation with highquality financial insight across Maersks fleet.

This role sits at the intersection of Finance Chartering and Vessel Portfolio Management with responsibility for bringing clarity structure and datadriven insight to fleetrelated decisions. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Chartering and Finance supporting both daytoday performance transparency and forwardlooking fleet planning.

The role is suited to someone who enjoys complex analytical work can operate independently and is comfortable influencing discussions where stakeholders may have strong and differing viewpoints.

    What you will be working on:

    Fleet financial insight & transparency

    • Provide financial insight on the fleet from a Time Charter (TC) cost and balance sheet perspective
    • Monitor and report on the overall status and performance of the fleet
    • Translate complex datasets into clear analyses and visualisations that support decisionmaking

    Planning optimisation financial analysis

    • Partner closely with the Vessel Portfolio team on short and mediumterm fleet planning and optimisation
    • Support financial evaluation of fleet development and planning decisions including budget outlook and long-term financial planning processes
    • Help define and apply meaningful metrics to assess fleet performance

    Stakeholder partnering

    • Serve as a financial partner to the Chartering organisation including teams covering Newbuilding Retrofit Operations & Safety and Vessel Portfolio
    • Bring factbased structured analysis into discussions where opinions may differ helping move conversations forward
    • Work closely with senior stakeholders including Finance and Chartering leadership

    Ways of working

    • Operate with a high degree of ownership structuring analyses and driving work forward in a complex environment
    • Contribute to improving financial models reporting and data flows to increase scalability and robustness

    What we are looking for:

    Core capabilities

    • Strong financial understanding with the ability to link operational drivers to financial outcomes
    • Highly analytical comfortable working with complex data and developing decisionready insights
    • A consulting or strategic mindset able to structure ambiguous problems and define clear analytical approach and success criteria
    • Confident communicator who can explain complex topics clearly and credibly to senior stakeholders

    Stakeholder & working style

    • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders who have strong opinions and perspectives
    • Able to influence through data and structured thinking rather than hierarchy
    • Selfdriven and organised with the ability to operate independently in a complex environment

    Experience & background

    • 5 years experience in analytical roles (FP&A business finance consulting or similar)
    • Experience supporting decisionmaking with financial and analytical insight
    • Exposure to senior stakeholders is an advantage
    • Knowledge of vessel operations fleet economics or TC contracts is a plus but by no means essential (not required)
