ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Administers treatment techniques competently.
• Conducts patient assessment
• Develops treatment plans for patients.
• Communicates relevant patient information.
• Provides education to patients and families.
• Emphasizes the importance of safety within physical/cognitive limitations.
• Supervises and delegates duties to support personnel.
• 7. Supervises students and volunteers.
• Based on principles of growth and development provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.
• Adheres to all safety infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy Masters preferred.
• 2. No prior experience required.
• 3. Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Iowa (if waiting to take the examination for the first time may practice with a Temporary License under the supervision of an Iowalicensed OT for a period not to exceed 6 months from the date the application was received in the board office for licensure by examination).
• 4. Mandatory Reporter
• 5. BLS.
• 6. FIM.
• 7. Valid IA drivers license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) (required for Outpt Therapy Occupational Therapy and Contract Therapy)
