Function and Scope: Laboratory Aides assist technical staff in the preparation and mixing of formulas washing and sterilizing equipment and keeping the laboratory organized. Lab aides may also help with the administrative and clerical work associated with the lab.

Essential Functions:
Prepares standard equipment facilities and/or solutions for laboratory experiments in accordance with detailed procedures and instructions.
Cleans breaks down and stores laboratory equipment facilities and supplies after completion of laboratory exercises as required.
Practices safety environmental and/or infection control methods.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Skills/Requirements:
Academic Background equivalent to a minimum of four years of high school.
Ability to maintain quality safety and/or infection control standards.
Knowledge of specified laboratory solutions materials and/or media.
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures and specifications of specified laboratory equipment and/or facilities.
