We are hiring for our client a well-established professional services firm based in Belfast who are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in banking transactions and cashiering to play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting business operations.

The Role: Banking Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date bank account records
Process key and co-authorise electronic payments before cut-off times
Collaborate with internal teams and branch banking staff to manage transactional funds
Post client cash direct debits and supplier payments accurately to ledgers
Process and print cheques daily
Reconcile multiple bank accounts daily
Manage foreign currency payments and ensure funds are moved between bank accounts as necessary
Resolve queries with banks solicitors clients and government organisations
Other Duties:
Manage and organise the general accounts mailbox actioning emails promptly
Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed
Ensure smooth communication between the finance team and other departments
The Person What Were Looking For
Essential:
Minimum of 1 years experience in a busy transactional finance role
Proven experience in cashiering or bookkeeping preferably in a regulated or professional services environment
Experience with computerised accounting software
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and meeting cut-off times
Strong communication interpersonal and organisational skills
