Hourly Rate: $15/Hour

Position Summary:

Raul Yzaguirre Schools for Success (RYSS) is seeking caring and dependable individuals to serve as Teacher Assistants in our elementary summer school program. The Teacher Assistant will support classroom instruction help manage student activities and contribute to a safe and engaging learning environment for young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the lead teacher with instructional activities classroom management and student supervision.
Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning objectives.
Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources.
Support students during arrival dismissal meals and transitions.
Monitor student behavior and promote a positive respectful classroom culture.
Communicate effectively with staff and students to support academic and social-emotional growth.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; some college or coursework in education preferred.
Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow directions work collaboratively and maintain a positive attitude.
Commitment to the mission and values of RYSS.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency.
Familiarity with elementary curriculum and classroom routines.
