JR. Software Test Engineer

Cepeda is seeking an EntryLevel JR Software Test Engineer to provide onsite support to the THAAD Trainers Team at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville Alabama. This position plays a critical role in supporting the U.S. Armys institutional training mission for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) weapon system. The position supports a multidisciplinary team of software test and systems engineers responsible for developing testing and maintaining complex training software. Must be adept at working in environments that require both selfdirection and close collaboration contributing to highquality actionable requirements and reliable system performance for missioncritical THAAD Trainer solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Create document and execute manual test plans and test cases
• Support the team by identifying documenting and tracking defects
• Participate in test planning activities
• Collaborate with developers and testers in a fastpaced agile environment

Qualifications

Required Education

• Bachelors degree in computer science Software Engineering Electrical Engineering Systems Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
• Zero (0) or more years of relevant experience (Entry Level)

Clearance Requirements:

• Must possess the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required

Required Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Ability to think critically and logically
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Thrives in fast-paced collaborative environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or projects related to software testing or quality assurance.
• Exposure to software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Experience with bug-tracking or test management tools specifically Jira.
