Machine Cleaner

Job Title: Machine CleanerResponsible to: Maintenance ManagerAbout the Role: Responsible for cleaning of all Shima type knitting is a permanent role working 38 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7am 3:30pm and Friday 7am 2:30pm. Rate of pay is starting from 13.45 per Responsibilities:Daily cleaning of all Shima type knitting machinesConducting deep cleans using bed cleaning machine as and when necessarySpotting any wear and tear of machinery at an early stage and informing the mechanical team to rectifyEnsure machines are ready for knitting after cleaningKeeping knitting area clean and tidyHealth & SafetyEnsuring own and others safety before during and after machine cleanAbout YouHave previous experience working in a similar role or be willing to learnHave an interest in knitting and textilesHave strong interpersonal skills with people at all levelsBe able to plan and prioritise your own workload and deal with conflicting deadlinesBe proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitudeAbout UsFounded in 1797 Johnstons of Elgin is an innovative luxury clothing brand celebrating 225 years of experience in working with the worlds finest fibres.
