Job Summary:

The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health Department of Medicine Division of Infectious Disease is recruiting an HIV Program Administrator to perform a wide range of administrative financial and program development and monitoring duties for The HIV Care and Prevention Program.


The HIV Program is a highly dynamic clinical and support services program with an annual budget of over $7 million. The program receives federal and state grant funding to ensure access to HIV prevention and treatment services. The program has a significant 340B Drug Pricing Program that provides grant program income to support program objectives. The Program Administrator is responsible for a wide range of administrative financial and program development and monitoring duties. The incumbent is part of an administrative team led by the Administrative Manager and will work closely with the Administrative Manager two other Program Administrators and other program and clinical staff. The Program Administrator will work closely with the Administrative Manager on program development implementation and evaluation compliance with grant and 340B program requirements and pre- and post-award grant and financial management. Developing an understanding of the HIV care and prevention services provided is necessary to ensure grant and program requirements are met. This position will also require working knowledge of or willingness to learn applicable University of Wisconsin-Madison and UW Health policies and procedures as well as applicable state and federal regulations and guidelines. This position requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

  • This position may require some work to be performed in-person onsite at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely at an offsite non-campus work location.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the daily activities and contracts related to one or more research program(s)
  • Assists in the development coordination and facilitation of trainings and workshops for internal and external audiences to disseminate research program developments and information
  • Plans develops and implements processes and protocols to support research aims
  • Serves as a unit liaison and subject matter expert among internal and external stakeholder groups collaborates across disciplines and functional areas provides program information and promotes the accomplishments and developments of scholars and research initiatives
  • Monitors program budget(s) and approves unit expenditures
  • Develops policies procedures and institutional agreements on behalf of the program

The Division of Infectious Disease are national experts in infectious disease clinical care and leadership. We lead comprehensive education research and clinical programs in partnership with the School of Medicine and Public Health and UW Health.

Compensation:

The starting salary for the position is $65449; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelors degree preferred.
