Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Digital Integrity SME.

As a member of the Civil Cyber Security Risk & Compliance Team you will be specifically responsible for advising upon the legal & regulatory compliance to a variety of data management obligations that Rolls-Royce must adhere to. This is done through continuous engagement with users and stakeholders and execution and maintenance of the Digital Product Integrity System. You will also be responsible for advising on how data can be used both at the platform level (e.g. cloud computing) and also assessment of outputs in terms of their criticality (e.g. safety).

Using Programme Management principles you will engage with the Civil Digital business and beyond to help and assure that the pipeline of Digital product innovations (including AI) is compliant with the necessary Regulations Policies and Ethics and be capable of preparing performance dashboards and creating metrics which demonstrate our risk profile or compliance achievement as necessary. Additionally you will be accountable for the effective operation of the Digital Product Integrity System by ensuring availability of help guides coaching and effective user experience. The skills gained can act as a springboard towards the next level of technical responsibility in associated fields.

This role reports to the Head of Digital Integrity (Civil Aerospace) in the Civil Cyber Security Risk & Compliance Team.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure that the Digital Product Integrity System user experience is of high quality timely to support the business needs and effective to support new and current users where required
  • Maintain the Digital Product Integrity System and Quality Documents in the Digital QMS (in transition to the RRMS ARIS)
  • Enable operational effectiveness of the Digital Product Integrity System by managing the pipeline of artefacts requiring approval and being part of the approval team
  • Identify opportunities for System improvement elicited from key stakeholders such as users compliance managers (e.g. Export Control) and the Head of Digital Product Integrity
  • Prioritise opportunities based on the risk or benefit to the business and the technical complexity involved.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Broad knowledge of digital technology
  • Eye for detail to identify potential non-compliances with policies
  • Good overall knowledge of the Civil business including its product and service lines (desired)
  • Safety assurance is an important part of the process. Experience of engineering and engineering risk management will be an important consideration in assessing a candidates suitability.
  • Awareness of external and internal policies as they apply and acknowledge the need to maintain a practical and pragmatic approach to policy and standards compliance
  • The Digital Product Integrity System is based on Power App technology so good experience and skills in this technology will be a significant advantage
