Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC isseeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support Registered Nurses in delivering safe efficient and high-quality patient care in an acute care hospital setting. The role includes direct patient care clinical support tasks and assistance with basic procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with patient admission assessment and procedures
Perform phlebotomy (venous and capillary blood collection) using aseptic technique
Conduct EKGs as directed
Monitor and document vital signs intake/output and daily weights
Perform glucose monitoring and specimen collection
Provide hygiene care including bathing toileting oral care and bed making
Assist with feeding and meal preparation
Transport patients between hospital departments
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of patient rooms and equipment
Respond to call lights and report changes in patient condition to RN
Ensure accurate patient identification and documentation compliance
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Completion of Patient Care Technician Program (Required)
BLS Certification (AHA) (Required)
EKG Certification (Required)
Phlebotomy Certification (Required)
Epic EMR experience preferred (training provided if needed)
Ability to work scheduled shifts weekends and holidays as required
