As aSenior Infrastructure Engineeryoullbe part of a small team of engineers who areultimately responsiblefor the production infrastructure which powers our retail brokerage business. We care about the speed and stability of our back-end systems as much as we care about the customer-facing applications we build. Our architecture is consistently evolving as ourgrowing business facesnewtechnical challenges with a focus on practicality and tomaintainourinfrastructure by working on existing configuration management code and troubleshooting on building its future state byparticipatinginthe architecturaldiscussions building proof of concept systems writing new configuration management code and standing up new production systems.

Our infrastructure is a hybrid of self-hosted hardware at multiple colocation facilities and cloud-managed such asSaltStackTerraformDocker andNomad.

The markets are open 24 hours a day7days aweekand our customers are fordurability butoccasional outages do infrastructure and development teams work together to troubleshootand remediatethese also bevery occasional off-hoursor weekend workrequiredfor higherriskdeploymentsorchanges.

What Youll Do:

• Use configuration management tools (primarilySaltand Terraform) to build andmaintaina hybrid infrastructure hosted both at colocation facilities and in the public cloud.
• Work directly with the development team to build supporting infrastructure for specific new application functionality.
• Run proof of concept projects on early-stage infrastructure improvements tovalidatethe feasibility of an approach evaluate performance and spike an implementation.
• Manage a curated set ofopen sourcetools (PostgreSQL RabbitMQ Redis etc.) via both configuration management tools and direct troubleshooting whenrequired.
• Manage telemetry (GraphiteGrafanaPrometheus) log aggregation (Elastic Stack) and monitoring tools (Checkmk NagiosIcinga).
• Understand version control create and review pull requests as part of our mandatory peer review process.
• Helpmaintainexisting build/deploy pipelines for both configuration management and application development(GitHubActions).
• Implement security initiativesidentifyrisk and mitigate or fix whenrequired.

Who You Are:

• You should have6to10 years of experienceas aSystem Administratoror Engineer.
• You mustbe an expert Linux user with hands-onexperienceinshell scripting process management and troubleshooting in a production environment.
• You musthaveexperience withdeclarative configuration managementtoolslike Chef SaltorPuppetas well asIaCtoolinglikeTerraform.
• You must be able to document processes and procedures clearly.
• You should enjoy or at least be comfortable working with critical production systems where real revenue is at stake.
• You must be able towork aspart of a team both giving feedback to more junior team members and takingdirectionfrom more senior team members.
• You must be able to make good critical decisionsbalancingtechnology frameworks strategy and practical constraints.
• You must haveknowledge of general networking principles and troubleshooting.
• You must be able to learn quickly in areas where youdonthave deepexpertise.

Base Salary: Level I - $177750 Level II - $192250 Level III - $202000
The actual salary offered will be based on the candidates level of experience and qualifications.

DiscretionaryPerformanceBonus: 8-12% (Level I II) 15-20% (Level III) of base salarybased on individual and company performance.
