Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ophthalmology-focused assessments gather relevant medical and visual histories and prepare patients for provider examinations and eye procedures.
- Coordinate diagnostic testing such as vision assessments imaging and laboratory work ensuring accurate completion and timely results.
- Maintain precise documentation of assessments treatments and patient instructions in the electronic health record to support continuity and regulatory compliance.
- Educate patients and families on eye care medication administration procedure expectations and follow-up requirements.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists technicians and interdisciplinary partners to manage patient flow address clinical needs and support safe transitions of care.
- Participate in department quality improvement efforts maintain competency in clinic-specific testing and complete required training to support ophthalmologic practice.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure.

Experience Requirements:
- 12 years experience in medical field preferred but not required.
- Previous experience using computerized system for data reporting information storage and retrieval required.
- Excellent communication skills required.
