Key Responsibilities

• Direct coordinate and oversee all aspects of blood transfusion services and donor collection operations.
• Develop implement and standardize policies procedures and practices for blood bank operations.
• Supervise blood donor center activities including donor recruitment collection planning and mobile or off-site collections.
• Oversee blood bank testing processes including blood typing antibody screening crossmatching and serologic testing.
• Monitor quality control instrument calibration preventive maintenance and accurate reporting of test data.
• Support staffing training scheduling budgeting inventory control and process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in clinical laboratory sciences or a related field.
• ASCP NCA or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience preferably in a blood center.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements including AABB and FDA standards.
• Excellent organizational analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently lead teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel to donor sites throughout the region.

Preferred Qualifications

• SBB certification preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience in a full transfusion service facility preferred.
• Experience in blood donor operations marketing and donor recruitment preferred.
